Howdy, pardners. I was just away for a week (girls' trip to Montreal) so it's been quiet here, but I will have a Wartime Wardrobe Challenge update soon. I know when I see other people post their vacation pictures from NYC, I'm always like, "Seriously, you're posting a picture of 5th Ave? The Empire State Building that I see on my way to the subway every $%@ night? SoHo? Boooring." Less so because I'm a jerk and more so because I am so desensitized to living in NY for a decade so I'm hoping some Montreal-dweller has the same reaction to the pictures below. "Seriously? SVP on a sign is so novel and fancy-sounding to you?" Yes, it totally is, you jaded jerk.
I hope you enjoyed that assortment of buildings, street poles, signage and raw food from vegan restaurant Crudessence (really). We did check out a number of re-sale/vintage places but the vintage gods weren't on my side. (Although the cat gods were; an orange kitty greeted us at Empire Exchange.) I spent all my loonies and toonies at Drawn & Quarterly on graphic novels. And to keep this about sustainable fashion: I wore the same jeans and shirts almost every day, with the same pair of black Sauconys and my Vaute Couture Emily coat. Re-wear, don't care.
