New-ish glasses. While I annoyed you with questions over what kind of glasses I should get (clear acrylic? teal?), I never told you what I ended up with. For inquiring minds: I got the clear.
Don't let the Brooklyn Museum lobby fool you - we saw all of 10 minutes of Hide/Seek before the museum closed. Hide/Seek, indeed.
There is nothing particularly sustainable about my eyeglasses aside from them allowing me to lay off my contacts. My corneas are thankful for them. Maybe one day I'll invest in those wood frame glasses.

those look fantastic on you!
ReplyDeleteI love them! Funny because I had reservations about clear but these look great. FYI, N really likes his new "fake wood" glasses.
ReplyDeleteLove them! I have been really pleased with my clear frames, too. They go with everything, and dare I even say it, I get tons of compliments every time I wear them (last time, 4 people in one day!).
ReplyDeleteNifty! They really suit you.
ReplyDeleteThese look great. Love em. You've just reminded me that i also need new specs. Poor corneas, in my drunk and disorderly days i scratched my corneas pretty bad. that'll learn me.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteI love those glasses! I have always wanted a pair of clear frames but I don't know how they would work with my coke bottle thick lenses.
ReplyDeleteI love what you chose. I have an ancient pair of clear frames...and you've just made them seem stylish to me again!
ReplyDeleteEep! I love them! They look so super cute on you!
ReplyDeleteYour glasses are faboo and look great on you.
ReplyDeleteYour glasses look good on you, but I really want to know about your lipcolor.
ReplyDeleteI wear plastic frames because my lenses are so thick and won't fit into most thinner ones, but they are definitely more eco-friendly and eyeball-friendly than contacts.
I ADORE them! Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks, y'all!
ReplyDelete@ Sarah - it's an OCD lip tar. I forgot which color red but I can check for you if you want specs. Also I'm -5.0 in each eye and always have to get reduced lenses, if that's at all helpful for you with comparison. I guess there is an added benefit that glasses are less disposable than contacts, although I think contacts are compostable. The main issue is probably the contact solution (creation of, packaging, fuel to ship around, etc.)
Thanks for the lip color answer! I'm -8.5 in my good eye, so I almost always have to get the highest index lenses.
ReplyDeleteI love the clear. I was just wishing for my own clear pair of real glasses. Was thinking of converting a clear pair of sunnies into a pair like this. Looking good!
